We continuously trace and seek the motivations of criminals, exploring the most subtle joys and sorrows within them, not to empathize with or even forgive them, not to provide excuses for their crimes, not to submit to the so-called complexity of human nature, not to reflect on social contradictions, and certainly not to alienate ourselves into monsters.

We are merely seeking a just account for ourselves and for those who still hold hope for this world
